🔍 How Nominations Are Assessed
The HESS Awards uses a rigorous, two-stage assessment process — a unique feature that sets us apart from all other recognition programmes in Ghana.
STAGE 1
Off-Site Assessment
All submitted nominations are reviewed against published criteria using a structured rubric covering policy, implementation, outcomes, and innovation.
STAGE 2
On-Site Assessment
Shortlisted nominees receive a scheduled site visit to verify claims, observe HESS practices, and score observable HESS culture.
AWARDING BOARD
Independent Decision
Final award decisions are made by the HESS Awards Board of eminent Ghanaians, operating independently of all commercial and sponsorship relationships.
💡 Tips for Success
📊 Be specific — use data, numbers, and measurable outcomes rather than general statements.
📖 Tell a story — explain your HESS journey, not just where you are now, but how you got there.
🌍 Show impact — what difference has your HESS programme made to your employees, community, or environment?
🎯 Align with the theme — show how your organisation is going 'Beyond Compliance' and building a resilient HESS culture.
⏰ Submit early — do not wait for the deadline. Early submissions allow time to correct any issues.
